Our Founders
Born
and bred in Kenya, Debbie Case worked for many years in tourism and
travelled all over the world. Her bases were in Greece, the States and
the island of Bora Bora. Looking for her roots, she returned to Kenya,
where she met her knight in shining white armour, Steve Thompson. They
settled in Naivasha, where Debbie has devoted endless time and energy
to setting up and running Naivasha Children Shelter.
Mellisa
Keng, known as Missy, is originally from the States but spent many
years in Kenya, where she married Igal Elfezouaty, part owner of Panda
Flowers in Naivasha. It was Missy who persuaded her husband to donate
ten acres of beautiful land, which made the construction of the Shelter
possible. Missy has since moved to Memphis, Tenesee but continues to
promote and assist the Shelter. Missy and Igal asked their children's
Lusanne School to donate books which they had shipped out to Kenya and
we now have an amazing library.
